My Lawn’s Spring Valley Farm

Tim Mundy, founder and owner

After graduating from Shawnee High School in Springfield, Ohio and obtaining a degree in respiratory therapy from Sinclair Community College, Tim Mundy chose to follow in his family’s footsteps and go into business for himself.

Raised by Mary and Ed Mundy, early in life Tim learned the importance of hard work. Mary was a homemaker taking care of three boys. Ed was plant manager for International Harvester and ran an electric business on nights and weekends. Tim often helped his dad run wiring in houses. He also helped out at his Uncle Gar’s grocery store, Mundy’s Market.

While attending college Tim started doing landscape work in the Kettering and Oakwood areas under “Mundy’s Lawn & Exteriors.” To further his education, Tim enrolled in a business program at Sinclair that allowed him to co-op at Leisure Lawn. There he gained first-hand knowledge of the green industry and business operations. When Tim decided to grow his landscape business full-time, he began using the slogan, “I’ll make you proud to say that’s My Lawn.” Shortly thereafter he changed his company name to My Lawn.

Tim set the company’s mission to maintain strong customer respect, admiration, and continued confidence by striving to provide the absolute best product and service. Doing so provides us with the ability to grow as a company and as individuals, thus, reinforcing our commitment to excellence!

Tim credits his family for his strong work ethic, drive for success, and Southern values. He has worked to instill these same values in his daughters, Taylor and Tristen. Tim and his wife, Chris, enjoy family time together at home and at the beach with their family.
